” i never seen a fat ethipopien kid who was fat cos of his “genes” ”
Well, for starters this was annoying purely because I think he meant Ethiopian. Secondly, surely you wouldn’t find an Ethiopian child that was fat because of his genes because his parents weren’t fat. As far as I know your genes aren’t just decided. Your cytoplasm and nucleus don’t just think “I know, lets make this baby fat” and thus, you’re a lardo. No, I believe that for the fatness to be in your genes, one of your parents has to be fat, or someone in the family line. They don’t get born fat if their parents are skinny, because that isn’t reproduced into their DNA. When you become fat it’s clearly a part of you (an annoyingly big part), and thus when you reproduce that part of you, in your DNA, it can be obtained by your offspring. And as most Ethiopian’s don’t have much to eat, it’s quite hard for the “fat part” to get into their “genes”.

It’s also a predisposition towards fatness, rather than “becoming fat” in itself, I guess the DNA determines how much of the fat than you digest is layered into fat reserves, and how much is burnt immediately. Besides, going by the stereotype of Ethiopians, they’re not fat because they have never have an opportunity to become fat, and so the DNA never plays its role.
Science, it works bitches.
Ah, the ranting thoughts of a 16 year-old pedant. I remember that day well.
Your point is valid, though, indeed.
