Next Generation Cutting Board

Posted September 15th, 2007 in Archive and tagged by Darfuria

Whilst making toast this morning, I suddenly got an idea for a new type of cutting board.

Basically you have a rubber cutting board with a rotating shaft at one end. On this you can place a roll of clingfilm or whatever you fancy. The general idea would enable you to roll the material across the cutting board so that you could prepare food on top of it. When you are done preparing you simply remove said material and throw it away, reducing the amount of mess in the kitchen. Alternatively you could prepare your food and then wrap it in said material quite easily.

Edit

“How’s your grammar?”
“She’s fine thanks.”

  1. Why do toasters have to have a gap in the bottom which make all the crumbs fall out on the worktop? Why can’t it be solid so you can just turn it upside down to empty it?

Why can’t microwave ovens have removable ceilings? Food always explodes and splashes on it.

If you remember, one of our old toasters had a crumb tray.

Considering the majority of the population can’t even spell, do you think allowing the possibility of microwaves travelling in an uncontained environment such as the kitchen is a wise idea?

    aren’t you mister thoughtful :P

  4. Umm, Dan…?

I didn’t mean a completely removable one, I meant an extra one which could be detached and washed daily (or thrown in the bin).

Hey…that was a really good full stop I did there…outside of that bracket.

Well yeah, I could see that working. Go create it then.

You only did that because I mentioned it.
