Everyone has heard that famous question:
“What came first, the chicken or the egg?”
Someone asked me this today, and for the first time I gave a constructive answer:
Considering the question is “what came first, the chicken or the egg?” and not what came first, the chicken or the chicken egg, this means that the question is simply refering to any old egg. It is common fact that reptiles hatch from eggs, and dinosaurs are reptiles.
Now, as we have done some scientific research, and we are thus relatively sure that the chicken didn’t create the dinosaur (although that does bring a somewhat adverse and intriguing image to mind), we can therefore safely say that the egg came before the chicken.
To conclude the answer to this question, I’d say that the chicken was merely the evolutionary result of a genetic malformity from some other form of avian creature.
